All my photos are here and I will be sharing my stories and cultural observations later this month on my Blog. Did everything listed in my travel journal.
BEIJING
Climbed the Great Wall. Danced outside at the ‘Temple of Heaven‘. Saw a Blue’s band and met some swing kids. I ate everything; the trip was very much about food. The best places where the one’s with no English menus; including the Night Market (Wan Fu Jing Snack Street) in Beijing (where they had the scorpions and such). It took some pointing and blind faith. We saw the Pandas as well; they had several that were relocated there because of the earthquake – “they were stressed”.

XIAN
Saw the 8th Wonder of the World; the Terracotta Warriors. Drank Snake Wine – which earned me the name ‘Dancing Snake Lady’.

SHANGHAI
The weather was chilly at night but it actually was a nice sunny day when I left Shanghai. Took a peek at the Paramount ballroom. Lovely deco building which has lost some flavor due to the neon. Loved the ‘Old Teahouse’ (pictures below), had a drink at the ‘Face’ bar and saw the World Financial Center; the tallest building in the world (for now)… Shanghai has little pieces of history buried beneath its modern exterior and rows of name brand shopping. Road the bullet train to the airport – fastest train in the world.
The Old Shanghai Tea House: Located at 385 Central Fangbang Road (Old Town); its upstairs on a road with many shops

Those are some amazing photos, especially the terracotta warriors. I’m looking forward to reading about the rest of your journey. Cheers.
